This brew goes back to the early evolution of India Pale Ale, adding a local and modern twist. We adjusted the water profile to mimic that of Burton-on-Trent, using all British malt and our Ringwood yeast then a generous amount of local Cascade, Centennial and Chinook from Hayhoe Hops. We then aged it in a barrel as the IPA’s of yore used to be transported from England to India.
“Epic Journey” is a strong, copper coloured IPA with loads of citrus and pine, a neutral oak character from the barrel and a solid bitter backbone.
